Turtle Swamp Brewing to Close Down Beer Garden in Roslindale Substation

A local brewery is shutting down a beer garden that has been housed in an historic structure for the past two and a half years.

According to a Facebook post from the business, Turtle Swamp Brewing will be closing its beer garden inside the Roslindale Substation at the end of the summer, while mentioning that the closure is due to the impacts of Covid. The post indicates that it will be open on Fridays and Saturdays for the rest of August, while it will be open on Saturdays only through September. (Turtle Swamp's facility on Washington Street in Jamaica Plain is unaffected by this, with its brewery and taproom remaining open daily.)

The substation space had previously been home to a Trillium beer garden, and there had also been plans for a restaurant called Third Rail to open there as well, though those plans fell through.
