A new Indian restaurant is on its way to the southwest suburbs of Boston.
According to a tweet from @JeremyKrantz, 1947 Truly Indian opening in Norwood, moving into a space in the shopping plaza by Route 1 and Dean Street that is home to Staples. A Facebook post from the dining spot mentions that the name comes from the year of independence for India, and that while it had hoped to open on Sunday, August 15 but wasn't able to, it looks like it could debut any day now.
The address for 1947 Truly Indian is 997 Providence Highway (Route 1), Norwood, MA, 02062. The website for the restaurant will be at https://ift.tt/37Zg6U8
