A couple of months ago, it was reported that a new dining spot featuring pizza and Mexican food might be replacing a Watertown pizzeria that also featured Armenian dishes. Now we have learned that a different restaurant is apparently coming to the space, though it could be that both new spots could actually be opening there.
According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Flavor Boom is now planning to move into the old Flaming Pit space on Arsenal Street, with signs in the windows showing a logo for the place. A website for the restaurant mentions that it will be a "gourmet fast food restaurant and caterer specializing in slow-cooked Asian dishes with an international twist. Served over rice or as sandwiches." No opening date has been given as of yet, so stay tuned for updates.
Back in May, a sign out front indicated that VR Las Amigas was planning to open soon in the former Flaming Pit space; it is not known if that dining spot might still be taking over part of the space (we will post an update on that as well once we learn more).
The address for the upcoming Flavor Boom is 222 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA, 02472.
