A local chain of ice cream shops has permanently closed one of its locations.
According to a source, Emack & Bolio's in the Porter Square section of Cambridge has shut down for good, with a message sent by the company confirming this, saying that the lease was about to expire and because business was down due to the coronavirus outbreak, they decided not to renew. (They do say that other locations remain open, including in Charlestown, Newbury Street in Boston's Back Bay, and North Station.)
Emack & Bolio's, which is headquartered in Brookline, first started out in 1975.
The address for the now-closed Porter Square location of Emack & Bolio's was 23 White Street, Cambridge, MA, 02140. The website for the company can be found at https://ift.tt/32VU3KR
