Mayor Marty Walsh Announces Creation of "Support Boston Restaurants" Online Directory

It looks like the city of Boston will soon have a resource that will help local restaurants--and the diners who are looking for information on them.

In his press conference this afternoon, Mayor Marty Walsh mentioned that an online directory called "Support Boston Restaurants" will be set up, with the service apparently giving information on such things as which dining spots are open, how people might be able to purchase gift cards from them, and more. Walsh mentioned that information on this and other items mentioned in the press conference could be found at boston.gov/coronavirus, though that gets redirected to https://ift.tt/2wpHKKI and there doesn't seem to be anything on the directory as of yet, so stay tuned for an update here as soon as we find out more.

The directory has been created on the heels of a statewide restaurant shutdown that was in response to the Coronavirus outbreak, where dining and drinking spots can only offer takeout and/or delivery service until April 6.
