A few months ago, it was learned that a popular Italian restaurant on the North Shore had closed and a new spot would be moving into its space. Now we have learned a bit more about the upcoming place.
According to its website and Facebook page, Settler Restaurant is opening in Salem in the early part of the year, taking over the space on Lynde Street where Firenze Trattoria had been. As mentioned earlier, Aaron Chambers (Not Your Average Joe's, Craigie on Main, Bar Boulud) is behind the dining spot along with his wife Shanna, and it appears that the 35-seat restaurant will feature seasonal, locally-sourced fare including house-made breads, freshly-made pasta, and winter braises while also offering a variety of wines. Chambers has garnered some attention since moving to the United States from the northern part of England, including being named one of Zagat's 30 Under 30 and being given a Star Chef's Rising Star award according to an earlier post in FSR Magazine.
Firenze Trattoria, which first opened in 2013, was known for its Tuscan fare.
The address for the upcoming Settler Restaurant is 2 Lynde Street, Salem, MA, 01970. Its website can be found at https://ift.tt/2SPRtTl while its Facebook page is at https://ift.tt/2FeS6hl
