Sombrero Chiquito to Open in Former Mass Ave Pita Space in Boston's Back Bay/Fenway

It looks like a brand new Mexican restaurant is on its way to a busy section of Boston, and it will apparently take over the space where a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern spot had been.

According to a source (Geoff Wong), Sombrero Chiquito is getting ready to open on Mass. Ave. near where the Back Bay and the Fenway meet, with the address indicating that it will take over the former Mass Ave Pita space. A photo of the storefront shows that the new eatery will offer such items as salads, nachos, bowls, tacos, and burritos--and falafel is mentioned as well. It is not yet known when Sombrero Chiquito might open, so check back for updates as they come in.

The address for the upcoming Sombrero Chiquito is 197A Massachusetts Avenue, Boston, MA, 02115.
