A suburban steakhouse that is affiliated with several popular dining spots in the region is closing its doors.
According to a tweet from @jeffreysbaron, Prime 131 Grill in Wayland is shutting down this weekend, with a note on the website for the dining spot confirming this, saying that it will be closing at the end of business hours on Saturday while referring customers to its other restaurants where gift certificates for the steakhouse will be honored. (Its affiliated restaurants include Grassfields in Andover and Waltham, Jimmy's Steer House in Arlington and Saugus, Mario's in Lexington, and Jimmy's Tavern and Grill in Shrewsbury.) Prime 131 Grill first opened in 2010 as Primebar Grill, replacing a location of Luigi's Italian Grille which was under the same ownership (another location of Luigi's in Bedford closed in 2015).
The address for the now-closed Prime 131 Grill was 131 Boston Post Road, Wayland, MA, 01778.
