Bar 'Cino Plans to Open in Former Waxy O'Connor's Space in Brookline

It looks like a regional restaurant group will be bringing one of their dining spots to the Boston area, taking over the space where a location of a group of Irish pubs had been.

According to a source, Bar 'Cino is planning to open in the old Waxy O'Connor's space in Brookline, with an earlier meeting notice within the town's website seeming to confirm this, saying that the restaurant would indeed be moving into the Beacon Street space and that the "alternate manager" would be Bryan Parkin. An online search shows that Parkin is involved with Papa Razzi, a group of restaurants whose locations in Boston, Concord, and Wellesley are part of the Newport Restaurant Group; this group also runs a place called Bar 'Cino in Newport, RI, so it looks like this could be a second location of that eatery.

Waxy O'Connor's, which closed its Brookline location in early 2018, is now down to just one outlet in the Greater Boston area--in Lexington--as its others in Foxboro, Kingston, and Woburn have also shuttered.

The address for the upcoming location of Bar 'Cino  in Brookline is 1032 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA, 02446. The website for the Newport location can be found at https://ift.tt/31vCgs4
