Broccoli Bonda or Urad Dal Broccoli Vada is a fantastic deep fried treat you can make and nobody would guess it has broccoli in it.
We made this for the Ganesh Chathutri Lunch and the fact was until I told them, nobody guessed it has broccoli in it. Since a deep fried is a must for the lunch, Amma decided she would make something new. For the pooja we anyways had Urad Dal Batter ground, so adding this broccoli was an easy breezy thing.
As I knew, my boys didn’t eat these, but Konda liked it and said it was very good. Even Hubby dear appreciated the taste saying it was way better than the regular one. Even after everything got over, I didn’t tell him what it had.
Anyway, this is one excellent way to sneak in veggies and that’s what is the theme for this month’s Kids Delight. Sending this to my Kid’s Delight event, guest hosted by Srividhya, themed on “Veggies Sneaked in”
