Bus Stop Pub in Allston to Close This Weekend

Last month, we had reported that yet another Boston dive bar may eventually be shutting down, though at the time, it appeared that it would remain open for the time being. Now we have learned that the end is indeed near for the place.

According to a Facebook post from owner Joyce Hynds, the Bus Stop Pub in Allston is closing for good this Saturday (May 12), with Hynds saying that "Saying goodbye is always hard, however...it is time....We hope that we'll see you stop by in the next few days. Tomorrow is Prime Rib Thursday and Friday is Fish Day....We will miss every one, it is [an] end to an era!" Earlier, it had been noted that much of the property surrounding the bar was being looked at for development by Mugar Enterprises, based on a bldup.com page.
