White Rose Coffeehouse in Lynn Closes After Controversial Facebook Comments

A coffeehouse on the North Shore that opened last fall has shut down after controversial Facebook comments from the owner's daughter went viral.

According to an article from itemlive.com, White Rose Coffeehouse is no longer in operation after the owner decided to close the place on the heels of her daughter's post saying she would never host a "Coffee with a Cop" event at her family's shop--and the daughter also causing an uproar when she called police bullies and racist killers. The article says that the owner apologized for what her daughter said and fired her from the place, and she invited police to the store but they did not come--and neither, apparently, did the usual morning crowd of customers--and the tipping point came Tuesday night when the owner found a television crew in her driveway when she came home.

White Rose Coffeehouse, which was located at 56 Central Square in the downtown section of Lynn, first opened in early November of 2016.
