Bee's Knees Supply Company in Allston Is Reopening

Last week, we reported that a gourmet market in Allston had abruptly shut down and its windows papered over. Now we have learned that the store will be returning.

According to an article from Eater Boston, the closure of Bee's Knees Supply Company on Commonwealth Avenue is only temporary, as an ownership change has taken place and the space is now being renovated, with some updates coming to the menu as well--though the overall concept of the shop will not change. Last Wednesday, a Twitter post from Bee's Knees that has since been deleted stated that the store had indeed closed, but general manager Elliot Kim says that the tweet came from a person who is "no longer affiliated" with the place.

The original Bee's Knees in Boston's Fort Point area appears to be under different ownership from the Allston shop and its future remains unknown, as it may be on the selling block (it apparently went up for sale last fall).
