Earlier this year, we reported that an upscale French bistro in Boston's South End had shut down temporarily so that renovations could be made to the place. Now we have learned that it is up and running once again.
According to an article in Boston Magazine, Aquitaine on Tremont Street has reopened with a number of updates made, including a new heating and cooling system, new furniture, lighting, and windows, an extra restroom, new glass panels that allow for a part of the dining area to be used for private functions, a larger bar, and an updated menu. The dining spot had closed for renovations on February 21 and while it looked like it may reopen in May, the opening was delayed until today, which is its official reopening day.
The Aquitaine Group--which runs Aquitaine in the South End--also operates other Aquitaine locations in Chestnut Hill and Dedham, as well as Cafe Green Light, Cinquecento, Gaslight, La Motta's, and Metropolis Cafe in the South End, along with a second location of Gaslight in Lynnfield.
The address for Aquitaine in the South End is 569 Tremont Street, Boston, MA, 02118. Its website is at http://ift.tt/1DUZGUW
