A few weeks ago, it was reported that an upscale restaurant and wine bar in Beacon Hill would be closing at the beginning of this month, though it was subsequently learned that a new dining spot with a connection to the restaurant was looking to open within the space. Now we have a bit more information about the proposed spot.
According to an article from Universal Hub, Zurito is indeed planning to open in the former Bin 26 Enoteca space on Charles Street, and as we learned earlier this month, Nader Asgari-Tari (who was a managing partner at Bin 26 Enoteca) would be the manager while local chef/restaurateur Jamie Bissonette is involved as well. UH says that both Bissonette and Babak Bina (who was one of the people behind Bin 26 Enoteca are the co-owners of Zurito, which plans to focus on the cuisines of the Basque region of northern Spain including sharable plates/tapas.
Bin 26 Enoteca closed on June 1 after being in business for 18 years.
The address for the proposed Zurito is 26 Charles Street, Boston, MA, 02114.
