Atlantico in Boston's South End Has Closed; Exact Status Unknown

A seafood restaurant in the South End of Boston has shuttered, and it isn't yet known what the future holds for the space.

According to multiple sources, Atlantico on Harrison Avenue is locked up and dark and its space has been cleared out, with a post within the South End Community Board Facebook group page seeming to confirm this, saying that "We just passed a bunch of movers removing all their dining furniture and the interior looks super empty" while commenters within the thread also say that it has indeed closed down. While a few people (including one poster within the thread along with a couple of sources) say that this is a permanent closure, there is no word at this point in time as to whether Atlantico could reopen, or if a new restaurant might take over the space, so keep checking back for updates.

Atlantico first opened in the fall of 2020, with Michael Serpa (Select Oyster Bar, Little Whale) being behind it.

The address for Atlantico is 600 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA, 02118.
