A growing group of bakeries and cafes continues to make plans to further expand into the Greater Boston area, with at least two more possibly coming to the northwest suburbs.
According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Tatte Bakery & Cafe is planning to open in Burlington and Lexington, with a Daily Times Chronicle article indicating that the former could be opening in a section of the old Tower Records space on the Middlesex Turnpike while a photo posted by the source indicates that the latter could open in the former Bertucci's space on Mass. Ave. The proposed openings of these outlets come on the heels of Tatte opening locations in Arlington and Belmont last year, while a number of others can be found throughout the region.
