A longtime Cambridge restaurant that served Portuguese cuisine has shut down.
According to an article from East Boston, Portugalia Restaurant on Cambridge Street between Inman Square and Lechmere is no longer in operation, with the Facebook page for the place indicating that it closed on April 30. The dining spot, which first opened its doors in 1983, offered such items as mussels, salt cod, linguica sandwiches, grilled pork cutlets, sirloin steak topped with a fried egg, white bean seafood stew, sauteed chicken breast in port wine, and filet of schrod.
The address for the now-closed Portugalia Restaurant was 723 Cambridge Street, Cambridge, MA, 02141.
