One of Boston's best-known Italian restaurants has closed down.
According to multiple sources, including those within the restaurant/hospitality industry, Teatro on Tremont Street is no longer in business, as it appears to have shut down permanently sometime this week. We have been told that the space may end up being reconcepted by the Columbus Hospitality Group--which is behind Teatro--though no specifics have been given as of yet.
Teatro was a casual upscale restaurant that first opened in 2003, featuring modern takes on classic Italian dishes along with craft cocktails.
The address for the now-closed Teatro was 177 Tremont Street, Boston, MA, 02111.
