One of the largest restaurants in Boston is apparently moving to a smaller space
According to a Twitter post from @JCCraves, Hei La Moon in Chinatown has a sign up at its Beach Street location saying that it will soon "be a part of Food Opera" (the old Chau Chow City space on Essex Street), with the tweet indicating that the restaurant could become a "food hall stand," though this has not been confirmed as of yet. Hei La Moon is a sprawling dining spot known in part for its dim sum, while also being a place for functions and events including weddings; over the past few years, it appeared that the restaurant might end up losing its home to development, though it subsequently looked like it could instead be reborn in a ground floor space once the project was completed.
The current address for Hei La Moon is 88 Beach Street, while its future address will be 83 Essex Street. Its website can be found at http://heilamoon.com/
