A Greek restaurant and wine bar in Boston's Back Bay that opened in early 2020 will soon be joined by a European-style cocktail bar.
Eater Boston reports that Hecate is slated to debut below Krasi on Gloucester Street on April 7, with the upcoming spot--which can be accessed by a door in the back alley (Public Alley 443)--being what EB says is "cozy, but not claustrophobic" and limits parties to six while not allowing standing. In addition to cocktails, Hecate will also offer beer and wine along with alcohol-free drinks, while food items will include bar snacks such as popcorn and deep-fat fried shrimp toast.
Plans for Hecate (and Krasi) date back to 2019, when it was first announced that Krasi would take over the former Cafe Jaffa space.
