What was once a local group of four restaurants featuring classic American fare will soon be down to just one, though a new concept under the same ownership is on the way.
According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Dockside Restaurant in Malden is shutting down, with a note from the Centre Street dining spot saying that its last day in business will be March 20. The note mentions that the Wakefield location of the restaurant will remain in operation, and that they will soon open a new barbecue spot called House of Smoke in the Malden space that will be "serving the best barbeque around under the culinary and operational leadership of Carlos Magalhaes from Fuel America."
Other locations of Dockside Restaurant had once been at Riverview in Malden and on Everett Avenue in Chelsea.
The address for the soon-to-close Dockside Restaurant in Malden (and upcoming House of Smoke) is 229 Centre Street, Malden, MA, 02148. The website for Dockside can be found at https://ift.tt/9TReWpy
