[Ed note: This article was updated on April 5, 2021 to reflect the fact that the restaurant is open once again after being closed since December.]
A longtime restaurant that tends to be popular with Red Sox fans--and is known in part for its burgers and tacos--has shut down for the time being.
According to a source, Audubon in the Fenway section of Boston is closed for now, with an Instagram post from the Beacon Street spot saying the following:
While the winter looms ahead, we have decided to do our part and shut our doors for a bit to keep our family and friends safe. We recognize that this would not have been possible if not for our incredible guests and friends that have stopped in and said hello, dined with us, grabbed takeout, funded meals to the hospitals, or even reached out to see how we are doing....We hope to throw some cocktail pop-ups during this time away— Not goodbye just see you later. Stay safe and see you in the spring.
Audubon first opened as Audubon Circle in 1996 and became known simply as "Audubon" when it changed ownership in 2014.
The address for Audubon is 838 Beacon Street, Boston, MA, 02215. Its website is at https://ift.tt/2zpSFkQ
