Last fall, it was reported that an upscale tavern in the Back Bay of Boston had closed down, though the group behind the place was looking to open something new in the space. Now we have learned that this will indeed be the case.
According to an article in Boston Magazine, Himmel Hospitality Group (Bistro du Midi, Grill 23, Harvest) is opening Grand Banks Fish House in the former Post 390 space on Stuart Street, with the upcoming two-story restaurant planning to offer New England seafood options such as clam chowder, baked stuffed lobster, and lobster boils along with Dover sole, uni, and razor clams, while the space itself will include a raw bar, a cocktail bar, and an upstairs dining room with two fireplaces, a horseshoe bar, and an open kitchen. If all goes as planned, Grand Banks Fish House will open in July.
Post 390 first opened in 2009, offering New American and classic American fare.
The address for the upcoming Grand Banks Fish House is 406 Stuart Street, Boston, MA, 02116. Its website will be at https://ift.tt/3vsLJiB
