A couple of years ago, it was reported that a Japanese restaurant in downtown Boston that featured raw seafood dishes was hoping to open more dining spots in the local area, and now we have learned a bit more about one of them.
According to a source (Geoff Wong), the people behind Tora Japanese Restaurant on Tyler Street in Chinatown are planning to open Tora Ramen nearby, with a Twitter thread from @JCCraves showing a picture of the sign for the place and indicating that it will reside at the corner of Kneeland Street and Harrison Avenue. (A late message from Geoff Wong says that its address will be 99 Harrison Avenue.) No other information has come out about the upcoming dining spot, so keep checking back for updates.
Tora Japanese Restaurant first opened in Chinatown in the fall of 2017, offering poke bowls and Kaisen Don, the latter of which refers to a rice bowl with sashimi, or raw fish/meat, placed on a bed of sushi rice; the restaurant also serves sushi, maki, and a variety of entrees.
