Restaurant Favorite: Yoshinoya

Dining out can be very tiring. Aside from squeezing your way through Manila's horrendous traffic, you're also bombarded with so many options where to eat. And the fact that there are restaurants opening left and right every week doesn't really help. At most times, I end up finding myself going back to one of my classic favorites--Yoshinoya.

Hello, Yoshinoya
Yoshinoya has been one of my go to places when I couldn't decide on where to eat. With its no fail Beef Gyudon Rice Bowl, I'm set to have a filling and satisfying meal!

My fondness for this dish started way back when I was still in elementary school. My mom used to buy me some as a treat for a job well done in school and it always motivated me to study even harder.

And since I was not fond of Chinese food when I was a kid (as my dad would force me to eat it rather than helping me appreciate its rich flavors), I'd often get either McDonald's Happy Meal or this beefy dish during our trips to Hong Kong.
But it wasn't until a few years back when I learned to love eating my thin and tender beef with red ginger and seven spices. It was a game changer! It made every mouthful even yummier!

Topping it with egg was also a brilliant idea! I still have my reservations though with eating it with raw egg so I'd stick with soft boiled egg for now.

Food Hack: Yoshinoya does not serve raw eggs for health and safety reasons. If you're dining at Yoshinoya SM Megamall branch, do drop by Nanyang first and grab a pair of soft boiled eggs for just PHP16!

Yoshinoya has multiple branches in the Philippines.
