First Sip: Cup Point

Sunnies Studios seamlessly grew its brand from fashion to food as if the two go hand in hand. By tickling everyone's love for aesthetics, Sunnies even attracted the non-lipstick user me to check out its famous Fluffmatte lipsticks. And I actually liked it that I bought two! And to celebrate my new beauty finds, I dropped by Sunnies' cutesy coffee shop, Cup Point. 

Hello, Cup Point!

Cup Point is the slightly hidden cafe behind Sunnies Specs SM Megamall. 

Its pastel colored interiors and fun blend with optical shop elements, this coffee joint is screaming Instagram hot spot. 

I have to admit, I wasn't expecting much as I usually connect cute and post-worthy drinks to be mediocre at best. But a friend of mine said that its drinks are surprisingly good. And I trust his taste so I found myself buying a drink after a quick shopping spree at Sunnies Face. 

I was torn between Iced Mocha (PHP90) and Iced Matcha (PHP90) so I asked the server which one's better. He mentioned that Iced Mocha sells more. But the matcha fan in me won and I ended up ordering the latter. 

And I'm glad that I went for this green drink as it was good. The matcha taste was pronounced though I would have loved this more if they lessened the sweetener or perhaps asked for my preferred sugar level. 

For PHP90, the cup was of decent size and you won't feel ripped off. 

Service though could be improved as it took about 15 minutes before I got to order. There was only one staff at the counter taking orders AND preparing the drinks. Kudos though to him as he was still friendly and all smiles despite being obviously overloaded.  

I'll definitely be back to try the other drinks. Hopefully, Cup Point will also start serving some pastries or cookies to go with the drinks.
