Tropical Smoothie Cafe to Open in Swampscott

A Georgia-based chain of restaurants featuring salads, sandwiches, smoothies, and more is planning to expand to the Greater Boston area, with one outlet on its way to the North Shore.

According to a job post within the Craigslist site, Tropical Smoothie Cafe is looking to open in Swampscott, with the address shown indicating that it would come to the Swampscott Mall in the Vinnin Square area. Based on other locations of the chain, which started out in Florida in 1997 and is now headquartered in Atlanta, expect to see such items as salads, wraps, flatbreads, pressed sandwiches, bowls, quesadillas, breakfast dishes, and smoothies at the upcoming outlet.

Currently, the only locations of Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Massachusetts can be found on the South Coast and Cape Cod, including Fairhaven, Hyannis, New Bedford, North Dartmouth, and Seekonk.
