An award-winning pastry shop in the North End of Boston is shutting down.
According to an article from Eater Boston, Maria's Pastry Shop on Cross Street is closing on September 15, as owner Maria Merola says "I've been working for 50 years....I'm done....I love it, and I'm going to miss it, no question." The store, which Merola has owned since 1982 when she purchased the space from Modern Pastry, is known for its variety of Italian treats including its cannoli, which was once given a "best of" by Boston Magazine.
The address for Maria's Pastry Shop is 46 Cross Street, Boston, MA, 02113.
