Arlington Bakery in East Arlington Has Closed; New Owners Taking Over

A longtime suburban bakery that focuses on Greek treats has shut down, as it gets ready for an ownership change.

According to a source, Arlington Bakery in East Arlington is closed, with a check on the Mass. Ave. space showing signs up that say "Arlington Bakery is under new ownership! On June 30, 2019, we will be closing our doors. Renovations will be made in July with an opening date to be determined." The note also mentions that the current owners will help the new owner with the transition, though it is not yet known what changes (if any) will come to the space.

Arlington Bakery has been known in part for such items as baklava, sheet cake, cookies, spanakopita, and Easter bread.
