It looks like a casual fried chicken spot that opened its first Boston location last fall--and that has a celebrity chef and restaurateur behind it--could eventually be joined by other outlets in the local area.
Eater Boston is reporting (via Eater New York) that David Chang's Fuku is planning to expand, with new CEO Alex Muñoz-Suarez looking at opening new outlets in Boston as well as other East Coast markets such as Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. Muñoz-Suarez says that "In my mind I see Fuku as a gateway to all of [the Momofuku restaurant group]....I think our guests are a much more wider band of representation of America's population than the guests you get in Ko or Ssäm Bar." No specific plans are in place yet for the possible new locations of Fuku in the Boston area, so keep checking back for updates as they come in.
Currently, a location of Fuku can be found in Boston's Seaport District, with the place offering such items as fried chicken sandwiches, chicken fingers, chicken bites, waffle fries, crispy potato cakes, rice and beans, slushies, and more.
