A New York-based coffee roaster that also includes a small group of cafes will be expanding to Boston, opening a shop in the heart of the city.
Eater Boston is reporting (via the Boston Business Journal) that For Five Coffee Roasters is planning to open on State Street next to Faneuil Hall, with the cafe offering coffee, salads, sandwiches, and pastries. The BBJ also says that this may be the first of multiple Boston locations, though for now, this is apparently the only one that is definitely in the works. If all goes as planned, the new location of For Five Coffee Roasters could be opening this fall.
For Five Coffee Roasters got its start in 2010 in Queens and initially was set up as just a wholesaler that sold its roasted beans to restaurants and other businesses before opening its first retail shop in Manhattan in 2016. A handful of locations can now be found in the New York City area and in Chicago and Los Angeles.
The address for the upcoming location of For Five Coffee Roasters in downtown Boston is 200 State Street, Boston, MA, 02109. The website for the business is at http://bit.ly/2KbVQot
