A popular suburban diner is closed after suffering serious damage in a fire.
According to several sources, including a post from NBC Boston, Budabing's 50's Cafe in Millis was hit by a blaze overnight that went to two alarms and caused the roof of the Main Street structure to collapse. It appears that the restaurant may be a total loss, as a tweet from @MichaelHenrich of Boston 25 news says that the building is expected to be demolished this morning.
Budabing's 50's Cafe, which has been in business for more than 20 years, has been known for its retro atmosphere and its classic diner food including pancakes, waffles, burgers, hot dogs, fried chicken, meatloaf, turkey dinner, and steak tips.
The address for Budabing's 50's Cafe is 1060 Main Street (Route 109), Millis, MA, 02054. Its website can be found at http://bit.ly/2IjuFVg
