A Festive Meal at Shangri-La at the Fort's High Street Cafe

Shangri-La at the Fort is one of my favorite places in BGC. I'd often stay at its lounge cafe to have some work done while sipping my favorite tea. The hotel's other restaurants--Samba, Raging Bull and Canton Road--all serve excellent food as well! And a couple of months back, I was invited to try High Street Cafe.

Hello, High Street Cafe.
High Street Cafe is Shangri-La at the Fort's buffet restaurant and it has been known for its fresh seafood spread! If you're lucky, you might be able to see a huge whole tuna on display.
The different stations get dressed up around 5:30 p.m. or so and the first thing you'll see when you get inside are the drinks you may avail for a fee. Free flow of non-alcoholic drinks are at PHP300 nett per person and it includes beverages such as lemonade, iced tea, fruit punch and milk tea
Right across the drinks section is the seafood section which features huge prawns, crabs, mussels and other superb catches. You may ask the chefs in the area to cook it based on your preference.
There's also a raclette station which I love! I actually went back thrice and filled my plate with marble potatoes and prosciutto.
The sushi bar is also worth checking out where you could request for aburi
I had salmon aburi and it was pretty good. Just make sure to eat it right away so that it's still warm which beautifully contrasts the chilled sushi rice.
Of course, a meal at any Shangri-La hotel buffet is not complete without slurping some of its delectable laksa! The sweet and spicy soup is absolutely divine! It was also entertaining watching the staff put together all the ingredients.
For a heavier meal, go for some roasts! There are steaks, duck and our very own lechon to choose from.
Make sure to make space for dessert as High Street Cafe's dessert spread is amazing!
From cakes to heavenly pudding and classic Filipino desserts, this buffet has everything for everyone!
I went crazy over the flan, pudding and chocolate fountain!
