It looks like a coffee shop in Somerville could soon be joined by a new location in the heart of downtown Boston.
According to a licensing board hearing page within the City of Boston website, Nine Bar Espresso is planning to open in Downtown Crossing, with the address indicating that it could be moving into the Boston Brewin Coffee space on Bromfield Street. The hearing notice lists the manager as Erick Vlassidis, who has been involved with Nine Bar Espresso in Davis Square, so there is definitely a connection between the two places--and as reported here earlier, Nine Bar is also connected to Simon's Coffee Shop in Cambridge.
