Glass House Breakfast Bar to Debut in K2 Cafe Space in Cambridge's Kendall Square

by Marc Hurwitz

A restaurant in Cambridge is getting ready to be joined by a new breakfast bar, and it is replacing a cafe and coffee bar that was under the same ownership.

An email sent to us indicates that Glass House on Kendall Street in the city's Kendall Square area is opening a breakfast bar in the K2 Cafe space, with K2 closing down today. The new place will offer items such as breakfast burritos bowls, avocado toast, spudboats (loaded baked potatoes), egg sandwiches, and bagels, along with a variety of coffee options. It looks like Glass House's breakfast bar opens its doors on Monday, according to the email.

K2 Cafe opened in Kendall Square in July of 2016 while Glass House opened in October of that year; the cafe offered salads, sandwiches, and spudboats, coffee, tea, and smoothies, while the restaurant features a mix of New American and classic American fare along with beer, wine, and cocktails.
