It looks like a London-based chain of sandwich shops has closed one of its locations in Boston.
According to a Twitter post, Pret A Manger by the corner of State Street and Washington Street in the downtown section of the city is no longer in business, with a sign out front thanking customers for their patronage. Calls placed to the eatery this afternoon are not going through, with multiple rings being followed by a busy signal. Several other locations of Pret A Manger remain in operation in the city, including in the Financial District (Arch Street, Federal Street, Franklin Street), South Station, Boylston Street in the Back Bay, and Longwood Avenue in the Longwood medical area.
