The people behind a North End restaurant are looking to open another dining spot nearby, moving into the space where a frozen yogurt shop had been.
Eater Boston is reporting (via NorthEndWaterfront.com) that Frank and Karen Pellino of Pellino's on Prince Street are planning to open an as-of-yet unnamed restaurant on Hanover Street in the former Pinkberry space. A meeting agenda notice for the proposed eatery mentions that the Pellinos have purchased the property--which includes three residential units--and that they plan to change the use of the dining space from a takeout spot to what appears to be a full-service restaurant with beer, wine, and cordials offered. (The meeting with the North End / Waterfront Neighborhood Council will take place on January 8.)
Pinkberry closed in 2016 after three years in business, while Pellino's moved from Marblehead to the North End in 2012, taking over the space where G'Vanni's once was.
The address for the proposed restaurant from the folks behind Pellino's is 285 Hanover Street, Boston, MA, 02113.
