Hello, McDonald's.
As I ordered my favorite set meals, I noticed that McDonald's is offering new McFlurry flavors. As green tea afficionado, I quickly ordered Oreo Matcha McFlurry. But it was out of stock on my first attempt last November.
I ended up going for Sans Rival McFlurry and instantly fell in love with its buttery taste and crunchy texture. It was a lot more sinful though compared to the usual McFlurry.
Luckily, Oreo Matcha was available at McDonald's in SM Aura. I decided to get Sans Rival again and the classic Oreo McFlurry to compare.
I was a bit disappointed with how overly sweet Oreo Matcha was.
The green tea taste was barely there and was overpowered by Oreo.
Sans Rival was pretty consistent and had that yummy buttery flavor.
But I'd still go with the classic Oreo McFlurry anytime.
I gave Oreo McFlurry another try a few days ago and I was pleasantly surprised that the one I got from South of Forum branch had better balance of flavors. The matcha taste was more defined. I also liked that the crunch of Oreo lasted for two hours. (I ordered four cups of McFlurry and kept some in the fridge for dinner.)
I guess I found a favorite branch.
