Earlier this month, we mentioned that a suburban restaurant that has been serving Italian dishes for 20 years was planning to close. Now we have learned that a new dining spot will be taking over the space, and that the owner of a nearby eatery is behind it.
According to a post in the Concord Journal, Adelita is planning to open in West Concord, moving into the space on Main Street where Vincenzo's Restaurant currently resides. The article says that Kristin Canty of the farm-to-table spot Woods Hill Table on Commonwealth Avenue will run the new place, which will feature Mexican cuisine.
Vincenzo's plans to close at the end of September after being in business since 1997.
The address for Vincenzo's (and the upcoming Adelita) is 1200 Main Street, West Concord, MA, 01742.
