More than three years after first announcing it, a highly-anticipated East Boston restaurant is finally ready to open.
The Tables section of The Boston Globe mentions that Cunard Tavern on Webster Street is opening on Tuesday, June 20, with the two-floor dining spot including a rooftop bar with views of Boston Harbor and a varied menu that includes such items as octopus dumplings, Cuban spring rolls, and crispy fish tacos. (Raw bar service will also be offered.) As stated earlier, the person behind the new restaurant is Phil Frattaroli, who also operates two spots in the North End--Lucia and Filippo--and whose grandfather had an old woodshop called Oscar Woodworking at the site.
The address for this new restaurant in East Boston is: Cunard Tavern, 47 Webster Street, East Boston, MA, 02128.
