It looks like a pair of pizzerias will soon be joined by a third location, with this one being in the space where a restaurant from a well-known local chef and restaurateur had been.
According to a source, Stone L'oven Pizza Co. has a sign up in the window of the former Waban Kitchen space in the Waban section of Newton, with the sign simply saying "coming soon" and showing its website address. Once it opens, the new Beacon Street eatery will join others in Brewster and Canton, and based on the menu at those locations, expect to see a variety of pizzas cooked in a stone-fired oven along with the possibility of soups, salads, appetizers, calzones, panini, pasta dishes, and desserts.
Waban Kitchen, which closed earlier this year, was owned by Jeff Fournier, who also ran the now-closed 51 Lincoln in Newton Highlands. (The space in which Waban Kitchen resided has also been home to Kouzina.)
The address for this upcoming pizzeria in Waban is: Stone L'oven Pizza Co., 1649 Beacon Street, Waban, MA, 02465. The website for the other two locations can be found at http://stoneloven.com/
