Late last year, we reported that a small group of restaurants based in Austin, TX, was looking to expand to the Boston area. Now we have learned that the chain is about ready to open its first location in the region, and it will reside in the heart of downtown Boston.
According to a press release, VERTS Mediterranean Grill is opening on Summer Street in the Financial District on November 4, bringing to the area a place to get "fresh and customizable" Mediterranean fare, such as salads, bowls, and pitas. The chain, which was recently rebranded (it used to be called VertsKebap), currently has 33 locations in Texas and is looking at an East Coast expansion, though it is not known where else it will be opening in addition to downtown Boston. (Earlier, we had reported that it might be coming to New York City and Washington, DC as well.)
The address for this soon-to-open dining spot in the Financial District is: VERTS Mediterranean Grill, 93 Summer Street, Boston, MA, 02110. The website for the chain can be found at http://ift.tt/1TATPxE
