Hello, Little Bear Diner.
It was quite hard to find this place as its signage could be easily blocked by a parked car. It is located in between a water refilling station and Poco Deli. We were lucky though to be able to score the parking space near the quaint restaurant.
We were greeted by an adorable dining set up with cute framed artwork. The second floor is equally adorable with its wall full of small stuffed bears and other charming decors.
Little Bear Diner’s menu is very simple and they only offer a handful of dishes.
And after a couple of minutes of browsing and considering the owner’s recommendations, we went with Kimchi Fried Rice with shaved US Angus Bulgogi Rib Eye (PHP345), Classic cheese sandwich (PHP185) and Root Beer Float (PHP105).

Service was fast though I think it was also because we were the only diners there. My root beer float was served in less than 10 minutes.
I was told that the vanilla ice cream that they put on the float is homemade. But my sister, who is addicted to vanilla ice cream, pointed out that it tasted like Fruits in Ice Cream’s. I couldn’t really tell. All I know is that it tasted good!
Classic cheese sandwich was served next and it came with a bowl of tomato soup on the side to complement the buttery and cheesy toast. I was pleasantly surprised that the sandwich was not overwhelming or cloying in any way.
The slightly tangy cheese taste was evident but not overpowering. I fell in love with the crispy croissant toast and wished I went to Little Bear Diner when they had their unlimited cheese sandwich promo. (Well, the owner said that she’s considering to do it again.)

The Kimchi Fried Rice was pretty good too. I loved that it was cheesy and that the kimchi fried rice wasn’t very spicy.
I also enjoyed mixing my rice with the beautiful sous vide egg. My only concern was that the bulgogi taste was nowhere to be found. I didn’t get a taste of the characteristic sweet bulgogi which I was looking forward to. It could have been overpowered by the melted cheese. Unless they just meant the US Angus beef was cut like bulgogi?

Overall, it was a lovely lunch. Being surrounded by adorable decors and stuffed bears made our meal extra special. I will definitely visit again soon!
