La Colombe Coffee Roasters May Be Coming to Boston's South End

It looks like a Philadelphia-based group of coffee roasters/cafes could be opening a second location in Boston.

A Licensing Board page within the City of Boston website indicates that La Colombe Coffee Roasters has applied for a common victualler license to operate on W Newton Street in the South End. If approved, the new shop would join another on Atlantic Avenue (across from the South Station bus terminal and parking garage), which opened in April of this year.

Last fall, we reported that La Colombe was looking at a major expansion that would include multiple shops in Massachusetts; currently, locations can be found in the Philadelphia area as well as New York, Washington, D.C., and Chicago.
