Pad Thai Cafe in Boston's Fenway/Kenmore May Be Replaced by Irish Pub

It looks like a Thai restaurant in a busy section of Boston could be saying farewell, with a new dining and drinking spot possibly moving in.

According to a Twitter post from Drew Starr, an abutters meeting was held last night to look into a proposal to replace Pad Thai Cafe in Boston's Fenway/Kenmore neighborhood with an as-of-yet unnamed Irish pub. No other information has been given in the meeting notice other than the fact that the planned changeover would include the transfer of the liquor license from the Boylston Street eatery to the pub; we have reached out to the Mayor's office to try to find out more and will post an update when we get one.

Pad Thai Cafe, which first opened about a decade ago, is a casual counter-service restaurant that is particularly popular with college students who live in/near the area.

The address for Pad Thai Cafe (and the proposed Irish pub) is 1116 Boylston Street, Boston, MA, 02215.
