Chris Coombs, Brian Piccini (Boston Chops, dbar, Deuxave) to Open New Restaurant in Boston's Downtown Crossing

A few months ago, we reported that the duo behind three popular Boston restaurants planned to further expand in the city, and now we know where their next dining spot will be.

According to a source, Chris Coombs and Brian Piccini of the Boston Urban Hospitality restaurant group (Boston Chops, dbar, Deuxave) are planning to open a new restaurant in Downtown Crossing, leasing the Temple Place storefront where the French-Indian fusion restaurant Mantra had been until closing this spring. A source within the restaurant group has confirmed this with us, though no specifics on the upcoming dining spot have been given as of yet, nor is it known when it might open.

Boston Chops can be found on Washington Street in Boston's South End, while dbar is on Dorchester Avenue in Dorchester and Deuxave is on Commonwealth Avenue in the Back Bay.

The address for this upcoming restaurant from Chris Coombs, Brian Piccini, and their team is 52 Temple Place, Boston, MA, 02111.
