Caffe Nero May Be Opening in Brookline's Washington Square

A chain of coffee shops based in Europe may be expanding further into the Boston area, this time possibly opening in a very hot section of Brookline.

A Facebook post from the Washington Square Association says what a couple of our sources have mentioned, that Caffe Nero could be opening in Brookline's Washington Square, taking over the space on Beacon Street where Square Market had been, and before that, 7-Eleven. If it does open in that space, it would join existing locations in Boston's Downtown Crossing, Fort Point, the South End, Longwood, and Jamaica Plain, as well as upcoming stores in Cambridge's Central Square, Wellesley, and a second shop in Downtown Crossing.

The address for what could be an upcoming location of Caffe Nero in Washington Square is 1633 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA, 02445. The website for the chain can be found at http://ift.tt/1yqElTd
