A Chinese restaurant in Waltham is shuttered for the time being after being damaged in a fire late last week.
The Waltham News Tribune is reporting that Asia Wok on Main Street was hit by a blaze on Thursday night, with the building sustaining $20,000 in damages, including what appears to be water and smoke damage along with walls having to be opened up by the fire department in order to get to the fire. The eatery now has to take the necessary steps to reopen again, including getting in touch with the owner's insurance company, and having the building department and fire department along with the health department making sure everything is ok before the restaurant is cleared to open back up.
According to the article, it appears that the fire at Asia Wok was caused by an electrical failure in the walls, and that one firefighter suffered a minor injury while fighting the blaze but was able to stay on duty.
The address for Asia Wok is 573 Main Street, Waltham, MA, 02452. Its website can be found at http://ift.tt/2buGJBh
