Zebra's Bistro and Wine Bar in Medfield Is Closing; New Restaurant to Take Over Space

An award-winning suburban restaurant is getting ready to close, and it will be replaced by a new spot from the same owners.

According to a Facebook post from the place, Zebra's Bistro and Wine Bar in Medfield is shutting down to make way for a new restaurant with a new name, with a post in the comments section indicating that it will close at the end of business hours on Sunday, July 3. A note on Zebra's website shows that the upcoming eatery will be a spot that "is easy, approachable, and playful showcasing seasonal product prepared with a lot of love and soul. It will be a spot where you want to meet friends and hang out over a glass of wine, beer or an expertly crafted cocktail." A new dining room and bar will be built in the space, and Chef Joshua Bottini (Spago in Las Vegas, Davios in Chestnut Hill, The Franklin Group in Boston, Church & Main in Burlington, VT, The Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI) will be heading up the kitchen.

Zebra's Bistro and Wine Bar, which first opened approximately 16 years ago, has received much praise over the years, with the restaurant's website showing that it has received a "Best of Boston" from Boston Magazine, an Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator, a Great 8 from the Phantom Gourmet, and more.

The address for Zebra's (and the upcoming restaurant that will replace it) is 21 North Street, Medfield, MA, 02052.
